There were some kids in Brooklyn.
They said "Mister Dave,
we like to read your poetry
about how to behave."
"Saying all the words is fun!
Will you please write some more?
Some things that we have to do
are B-O-R-E BORES!"

In Maine, New Jersey and N.C.,
Pennsylvania, Tennessee,
Alaska, Colorado,
Massachusetts and Ohio,
Florida, Rhode Island,
New Zealand and in England,
in the cities and the towns
the children said "We like the sounds!"
So, okay, here we go again!
Get ready tongue and eyes!
It's time to read and think and get
a vocal exercise!
