I'm glad I thought of it!
It's such a pleasant night out,
let's go outside and sit.
We'll open up the folding chairs.
I'm glad I thought of it.

We hear a jet that's far away
but we can hear its roar.
We see some car lights and we know
the folks are home next door.

The crickets make their cricket sounds.
The frogs are making theirs.
The light behind me makes my shadow
sit out on the stairs.

Mom says "You're getting sleepy."
I say, "Yes, you are right."
Before we go inside, we turn
and tell the moon "Goodnight."
