The principal's the boss at school.
Can you imagine that?
In charge of all the girls and boys.
(Today I caused a spat.)
(I have to talk real soft because
Can you guess where I am?
I have to tell the principal
why I pushed a friend.)
I really do not know why.
And that is what I'll say.
And I will say "I'm Sorry."
And it will end that way.

I won't try to spread the blame,
or lie, or yell abuse,
or say "You just don't like me."
'Cause I have no excuse.
And that is just what happened.
The principal said "You
impressed me with your honesty,
and your courage, too."
