It's really quite pretty
to see the sun rise
as night
becomes morning
in front of your eyes.
First there is that little glow
of orange in the sky.
The sun appears,
the sky turns blue
and birds begin to fly.

And you can tell that folks are up.
Their kitchen lights come on!
Because another day has come
with something we call "dawn."
